Every class in NJ has had them now for years..they are the greatest thing...not only in speeding the show up, but letting you know instantly when there is a caution or red and where it is on the track.

I do recommend the following...don't get the raceceiver...go for a regular scanner that you can program the channel into. Yes..they are a little bigger but they do hold up better and have better battery life. Plus, you can just make a real small box for it that hangs on your chassis and slip it in there instead of wearing it or taping it to the cage. The track should be able to tell you the frequency to program in, and even if they don't, as soon as one of your buds with the raceciever programs his, the frequency will pop up.

Finally...the custom molded earplugs are well worth the bread. Yes...you need to get fitted for them and that can be done at any motorsports show where racing radios is at, or they make an at home kit. They seal out all the other noise protecting your ears and allow you to hear the scanner with the volume down low. If you get crappy Ipod like earplugs you'll have to crank the scanner way up to be able to hear it.
