You all do realize people race without wings all the time right? I dont understand why a lot of people here think that once the wings off the drivers and crews have no control over the cars. And everyones acting like the teams dont have a choice. The teams have several choices. a) Dont go if you feel that uncomfortable with this deal. Essentially there are 4 cars in the pts championship hunt so they should be the only ones locked in on it being a pts race. b) For those that dont wanna hurt there pts avg. Show up and take the green and pull in (which if anyone does this there gay), or just sand bag and run around the back like some teams do anyway. c.) show up and race. d) Do it the right way get a nice setup whether it be from someone who runs wingless normally or do it yourself and take advantage of practice Saturday and also Susky has a test and tune every Wednesday. This will get the driver comfortable driving the car which is the key to not crashing.

** On a sidenote even without the wings the drivers are still driving the cars. As long as drivers use there heads everything should be fine. The only flips last year were the 88 who has no problem crashing with the wing on and the 5's got together which was a racing deal very little to do with not having the wings on. Like I said drivers use your heads, if you feel out of control slow down its as simple as that.
