I spoke with Bob Miller this week about having the Super Sportsman there for a few races. When asking him about some races there he
answer and I quote "I am very
interested" After a lengthy phone call with him I decided to get
ahold of Mike Gill to make him award of everything so he wasn't in the dark about it. And Mike was pleased to hear about it.This is all for next year,
Nothing is going to happen this year. During my talk with Bob he also stated that he would like to have us out there for his feature only show at the end of
the year. We talked about a few other things as well. Then on Saturday when I got to Williams Grove. The Boss stopped me ..... Alan Kreitzer he let me know he talked to Bob Miller from Grandview and sent him the payout. Alan sounded pretty excited for us going
there. He thinks it will be a good thing. Alan also said about having us out there for the feature only event next year.
Now as for next year. When Mike Gill and I was talking. I brought up the fact about making it so that the New Egypt cars can race with us. If we make it a point race we loose those cars and if we don't make it a point race we loose a few cars that do follow and race the tour. So heres what I think we should do..... AGAIN this is ONLY MY OPINION!
We make it a tour race. However we don't use the tour points for anything that night to set anything up. Draw numbers coming into the pits. Line the heats up and do the passing point system. And whoever is the high point man from the heat races draws from a bag 6,8,10 or 12 for the invert. From there line them up and go....
If you do it that way it opens the door for the New Egypt guys. I know people are gonna say why do that for them.....bluh bluh bluh. because you want a strong field of cars and you want everyone who has a car be there. And if your good enough to beat them then you won't cry or complain about it. I think we could have a great field of cars and have one hell of a race.
I look for us to have 2 standard shows out there on a Saturday Night and the 1 show at the end of the year for Feature only. Lets hope it all works out. If we do those shows then..... It leaves room for the holiday races out at Bedford that everyone is just dying to back to. I don't see us going there on a Friday Night with everyone working.
I hope everyone is postive about this and if we get the races at both tracks they enjoy them.
