Fenders or not, it doesn't matter. If all cars want to be able to race all cars should participate in running in the track. If you can't help get the
track ready to race on you don't deserve to race on it. Racing fuel is expensive in every division, not just one particular division.

No racer should be running the track in. The track should be race ready when the cars get there.

well old timer u might b right there but when it isnt ready and they need some help everyone should help. Them sportsman aint no better than anyone else. And no one makes them come out and theres someone out there that should be sure they help out. |

I remember when I was younger, when they needed help, the push trucks went out and helped run the track
in......don't remember seeing Tilly and those guys doing it.
As Old Timer said, the track should be ready........as we all know, we are the only sport that pays for our own show, so why should we also prepare our own track. Now, I know that there really aren't many push trucks around on Saturday nights, but that doesn't mean the race teams need to prepare the track........maybe they could start running it in a little earlier???

sportsman. The cars weigh 1900 pounds, or there abouts. They got small wings, manual steering and its the best show." |

If it makes u feel any better the street stocks and late models ran the track in at the springs too..but i dont ever recall hearing anyone complain then..even

Yes they have always had to run in the track and there has always been discussions about it and how it wasted there gas. They just didn't have message
boards five or ten years ago to have a place to discuss it.

Nor did fuel cost as much as it does. It costs a team
with a normal crew, hundreds of dollars to get the crew and car in to race and having to burn another $10 - $20 worth of fuel is not an easy pill to
swallow.

Why should teams have to run the track in.They are there to race not run the track in.

Well if they want to race they should help pack the track! The longer the track stays muddy the longer it will last during the night! If the track is packed in
tight long before hot laps, just sitting there in the hot sun, just think how dusty and dry the track will be! We had a big meeting last week after the races
and many late models teams stopped in and said that this is two weeks now they have ran in the track with no help from the sportsman! We agree, and have
decided if sportsman don't start helping with the track packing, we will just run their hot laps first!

none of the friday divisions run the track in, sounds like poor track prep.

Whatever!!
Bottom line is that all we are asking for is for each car to take a few laps around the track (when needed) to pack the track, or sit there all night, start late and then get curfued out! Your choice! Thanks to all who have helped on nights it was needed! Your Signature ...

"none of the friday divisions run the track in, sounds like poor track prep"
Well I guess I was dreaming while we all sat there and waited before EVERY heat race to watch EVERY division run down the lip in turns 3 and 4. Yes, even Esh and Rahmer ran thru the turn where needed to get the job done. Are you ever there on Fridays or do you just make it up as you go along? |

Yeah when we have a storm late afternoon like last night but not on a sun filled day are they staring the show 1 to 2 hours late and have all the racecars
running in the track like every Saturday. Starting late every week in insane. jmo
